Joint Statement of the 31st Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT) Ministerial Meeting

1. We, the IMT-GT Ministers, convened our 31st Meeting on 4 September 2025 in Trang, the Kingdom of Thailand, under the Chairmanship of H.E. Danucha Pichayanan, Secretary General, Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC), Kingdom of Thailand. The Meeting was attended by H.E. Rachmat Budiman, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia for the Kingdom of Thailand, and H.E. Dato Hajjah Hanifah Hajar Taib, Deputy Minister of Economy, Malaysia.

2. We reaffirm our unwavering aspiration to realise an integrated, innovative, inclusive, and sustainable subregion by 2036. In light of the increasing uncertainties in the global economy, including growing trade tensions and the evolving geopolitical landscape, we underscore the importance of reinforcing economic resilience and deepening subregional cooperation. We commit to advancing trade, investment, people-to-people connectivity, and sustainable development as strategic means to safeguard growth, promote stability, and ensure shared prosperity in the subregion.
